Hi All, just wondered if anyone has fit any after market rear shock absorbers to their fastback or if it is new old stock or nothing job?
Thanks in advance

Andy, which ones were they? I see Spax list 2 part numbers and would like to change mine to match the fronts.

Cheers Andy, the fronts made such a huge improvement I've been waiting for an excuse to do the backs to match. To the OP the Spax adjustables are well worth it and if you have any concerns about doing the front struts feel free to give me a shout, it wasn't as difficult as some may say.

I replaced the fronts with new Spax inserts and had a pair of springs made that were 2" shorter and 20% stiffer. If I can find the receipt it's got the actual rates on and will post them for you. Whole lot was poly bushed and after some playing the dampers are set on the 5th click from the softest setting. You can see for yourself how it looks and it rides really well, isn't too hard or harsh in the slightest. A big improvement over standard at least imho. Oh and did the strut top bearings while it was all apart as well. Will go have a look for the spring receipt.

Just checked paperwork for the springs and there's no info I'm afraid. They cane from Coil Springs Ltd 0114 275 8573 and if you quote them invoice number 2487 they should be able to find it.
