Seems that the link might not be working which I'll try to fix. In the meantime, the news is the engine is running and remarkably well after all this time.

Certainly hope so Dave assuming I'm not on holiday. I will be attending as many events as possible to make up for lost time!

Cheers Steve, I can't wait to be roadworthy again! Are any of the Wilkinson clan any closer to a return to the H120 fold (on the road that is)?!!

Quick update...
Plans have changed slightly, the external paint will now be done by a local paint shop. I have decided trying to get the finish I want in my garage is unlikely and I've found someone who produces excellent work so I'm happy for him to do it. This means I have to put the car back together so it can be MOT'd (unless I can find someone with a car trailer to move it).
The rear lights are all back in and working, rear bumper is back on. Most of the interior is back in, just a few jobs to finish. Slight problem found last night with a water pump leak once up to pressure so that will have to be cured. Bit of a pain but if that is the worst thing that happens I'll be happy!
More news soon...

Well done ! Whilst hearing your engine run I got to thinking about those roller rockers the guys sell-on ebay , I think - they sure would make our Rootes engines much more quiet plus other good things too..just don't have the bucks... |

I've not made much progress in recent weeks for various reasons but the good weather over the weekend gave me the chance to make a start cleaning up the underside of the bonnet. I've removed the old sound deadening which was tatty and plan to paint the underside rather than replace the mat. This is what I'm starting with;
MOT is booked for 6th June () then I just need to get the final bit of external paintwork done, that is booked for the end of June.
Seeing the car out in the sunshine was a good reminder of where this car belongs!!;

Link works fine..... is looking the dogs danglies under that bonnet, but I suspect it sounds a lot better in real life than it does on this laptop.

Finished the bonnet over the weekend, not perfect but a huge improvement. It needed a lot of cleaning up as the old contact adhesive had eaten into the panel in several areas. I've used some rust proofer prior to priming, flatting, colour coats, more flatting, then lacquer;

I must have had enough fingers crossed as BJU got through the MOT today with no problems. A very slight leak from the rear flexi brake hose was the only thing picked up which was cured with an extra tweak of a spanner.
Received some compliments from people visiting the garage which was nice;
