Hi,

Seems I have a crack in my exhaust.

Any advice on welding stainless steel?

Mike

You could really do with knowing what grade of stainless the manifold is, so you can use the same filler material.

I have no way of knowing what it's made of.

From what I've read, it's probably 304.

Here (https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/stainless.htm) prompted me to pick up some 308L filler.

The nearest correct gas I cold find in small quantities is Argon/CO2 mix (but with far too much CO2).

There is just a small split in silencer to repair (speed bump damage). I wondering how much I have to worry.
