Hi everyone ,I just thought i,d say hello! I,ve had my Fastback since 1983. my dad gave it to me when i was 13 ,a long time ago now , he couldn,t get on with the auto box , that,s long gone now , along with my dad but SJN 197G lives on and i can,t seem to part with her ,she,s looking a bit sad at the moment though ,I did that stupid thing and took her off the road to sort out some welding and just got sidetracked with easier projects Time to sort that now though i think ,she,s been through a bit in the past, probabably saved my life once when she was hit by a cossie sierra in the early nineties ,hit me broadside and shunted me 100 ft sidesways down the road we fixed that with a scrap panel,so although she,ll never be pretty she,s part of my history and i owe her a lot off to say night to her now and make some promises i,ll hopefully keep

Yes, welcome to the forum. We do have a record of your car in club history, it is quite an early one being Nov. '68 & probably one of the earliest auto's surviving . We thought it had probably gone for scrap as has no owner recorded. As J says, lets have a photo or two Cheers. G. |

Yes, Peter still a member along with his wife Anita - they've stepped down from committee duties, but still come to events & still have their IIIA Rapier . G. |
