Whats involved in looking after the spares side Glen?? Does it take alot of time up??
Hi Jon, Just noticed your post re spares. Well I managed to run it whilst I had a job working away from home, but it varies: had busy times and a number of parcels to pack and send, then quiet times. I made a bit more of it by searching for NOS items. As Jason has said, it is storage that's main issue, but bulk of it would fit in a garage with suitable racking. Panels could be kept in storage together with large items, rest of it in about 60/70 fruit boxes that can be stacked. Drop me a ~PM if you want more info. Obviously we'd be grateful of a volunteer, but see what you think based on that quick summary . Cheers. G. |

The main issue with looking after the spares is the amount of space required to house everything. I have told Glen in the past I would happily do it but don't have the space at home and finding storage at a reasonable cost is very difficult.

had to look up a picture of jabe1807's engine bay to see the steering set up lol
sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand
I used to think lower ride height on H120 was due to positioning of spring retainer on strut, but I think it is all achieved by having c. 1.25" shorter springs. Thought struts were Heavy Duty too. On the TRE's I can't recall if it is both inners that are LHT, but you would need a pair of them and a pair of RHT's as you say to change them all. Club has indeed got all parts, but still no takers yet to take on spares. Are you club members andyb? Regards. G.

Plenty of steering parts available in club spares although not 100% sure who you contact to buy them now Glen has taken a well deserved break.

I've bought one of those too.
I bought the front polybushes from Alpine West Midlands and some of the rear bushes from Australia. There seems to be more available for the earlier Sceptre/Gazelle models. |

Yes - all interchangeable.
The sportier models have a thicker anti-roll bar and some models have stiffer dampers but that's it.
Pre '73 struts and springs are different to post '73 struts and springs.
