if only someone really made a Sceptre model like that. The Lansdowne models one that crops up on eb*y for huge prices is utterly terrible....

The background here has been cut out and blurred in photoshop using gaussian blur. A bit overdone in this instance!!

Hi Jan.... you are correct... I have let the thread slip behind a little. Things have moved on but I've not had the car outside recently to get any pics. Is very difficult to get bodyside shots inside the lock up cos it's chokka with stuff and the lighting is poor.

I'll make the effort to get some pics, boot lid is coming along quite well now so will give me a reason to get it up to date. Plan is to prepare the engine for the turbo installation over the winter but probably be next spring before it's ready to go on. Will get some pics of what I'm doing with the parts I've gathered so far.

I have given up trying to think what is cooking here with this photo, and I have actually lost contact with the owner too, so can't ask him either.
By the way arrocuda, I/we have only seen one photo of your turbo'd motor, how far did you get with your car and how about some photos then.

The car appears to be parked on a concrete block that is raised inside the garage. Check out the edges of the block running from the o/s rear wing and the n/s front wing. Very strange!

I see what you mean, maybe the camera was zoomed or something , when one zooms on the picture there are funny glares and reflections. The glass might be causing magnification and distortion as well.I never noticed anything on the original photo, maybe it went funny afterwards . Helluva discussion though !

It almost looks like its parked in a garage but then the walls of the garage have been superimposed with something else!?

Hi Jan, It's just that something is not quite right but I can't put my finger on it,If that's a full size car the reflection in the windscreen is one very big bloke!

I never took the photo's, now that you mention it - I tried to look what it is parked on but I don't know...but the background does look eerie as if the focus of the camera was not right.

Hi Jason, no it's not just you,I thought it looked like a (very)sophisticated model as well, perhaps it the background - what's it parked on?

Actually at one stage we came close to swapping the Sunbeam and the Humber, but it never was to be. Just as well because I can't see me keeping those immaculate white seats and interior clean. I would love to have one though.I am one of those guys who steps off the ladder into the paint tin

My dad always says he drove one of them once from a friend.
And he was surprised about how smooth the automatic gearbox on a standard car was. And how easy and smooth it drove.

My dad and me also have been dreaming about putting a V8 in there.
It would make a wonderfull car to drive with a V8 engine...

I like a car thath looks normal but can really knock you off your socks!
