Try a machine polish using Farecla G3 first then down through the grades, if the paint is dull you will find this does a great job. |

Welcome Gerald.
If you want your car to be absolutely perfect then at some point you'll have to consider a re-spray.
Otherwise, if it is still presentable, just drive it and enjoy it. |

Hello everybody, My name is Gerald, I’m a new member living in Carmarthenshire south west Wales I’m the proud owner of a Mark 4 Rapier. I worked all my working life in the motor trade. In 1965 I worked as a mechanic at George Heath Motors Birmingham, who were the main Roots agents in the midlands. My Rapier was first registered in Birmingham, this means I was working in the same place and time, when my car was first registered, I could have even done the P.D.i on it. My Rapier is still in the original condition, never been painted or welded. The paint now is showing some age. I’m asking other members if I should respray it or leave as it is? I’ve restored several cars over the years. I am also have a Triumph Spitefire. I’m looking forward to meeting up with other members when allowed.
