Im sure you have read the club magazine that I wrote an article for; it was the first A5 one that came out in the summer. But I wanted to post a new topic and thought this one might be ok.

The short story is - When I was around 14 my dad bought a fastback and by the time I was 17 I really wanted it. So i passed my driving test and had it within 2 weeks. I cant describe how happy I was.

Unfortunatly within 6 months my dream ended as I had to take it off the road after it kept going wrong.
I spent the next 8 years trying to get the car sorted, until one day I found the fastback I have now and as you know am once again made up.
By this time though the car was so far gone I had to let it go.

But heres where it all started.

So what was wrong with the car then?

I like a car that looks normal but can really knock you off your socks!

Oh right, its nice to know its always been local then.
When my dad picked it up, we went to Gloucester to get it.

I did see that it was in a scrap yard and featured in an old cut and thrust, so it must have been restored just before my dad bought it.

Hi Martin, I have to say you don't look overly pleased in that second photo, you must have been adopting a photo pose!
Somewhere my Dad has got some old photos of me with BJU, I'm going to have to try and find them.
