just looked back and 65beam has said that they are lions
did,nt see that untill now

the wheel well moldings were on the alpine GT starting with the 1970 models.

I know this is way old, but just happened to spot this bit of the post on this thread. This car was owned by ElectricalNick in Banbury & was sold about 5 years ago to a chap in Ireland; he was pretty keen, so it could well still be about - don't loose heart! Not sure what work Nick had done on it, will have to ask next time I see him, but the rot might have been sorted, in which case more likely the Irish chap has saved it. Cheers. G.
