Yes it was Shepton Mallet, well spotted!!
A few years ago now though as he has been off the road for almost 4 years 
Waiting to have some welding done underneath and also having the engine bay spruced up to match the rest of the car.

Yes I too remember this picture and another one taken from the front offside – I used it as my desktop for quite a while, but it caused much grief and sleepless nights and gnashing of teeth, emptiness in the pit of my stomach- woe woe and thrice woe for I had been catapulted back to the summer of 68’ when as a mere boy my eyes hath beholden the most beautiful thing parked outside Martins Bank in North Ormesby and was stricken with great longing all over again. For I did not knoweth that such beauty still existeth and I remembereth with deep sorrow and a great blackness those which as a young knave I had previously posseseth and loveth but had lost in a terrible battle with the evil demon road salt and his contemptible companion tin worm. She who must be obeyed couldst not understand why such longing and desire had overcame her previously seemingly (she thought) normal husband but realised that peace and contentment would never again reign in the homestead until there were a carriage calleth Sunbeam Rapier stabled in the garage. He was not overcometh with greed as long as the carriage calleth Sunbeam Rapier was in good fettle it need not be the special one blessed by the great god called Holbay and his longing and despair would be dispelled and peace and contentment would return. A great search was’t began and he learneth of a circle of men good and true calleth the Sunbeam Rapier Owners Club whereupon he found such a carriage which had been blessed by the great god Holbay in a faraway hamlet called Shepton Mallet. A large bag of groats was exchanged and the beautiful carriage calleth Sunbeam Rapier undertook a great journey of 300 mileposts without aid back to the settlement whereupon peace and contentment did’st return to the homestead, whilst the wonderful carriage calleth Sunbeam Rapier suffers no ailments that is.

Hi Jim, I know this part is where you are supposed to post pictures (and if I could figure out how to do it I would!) however all I can suggest is keep looking thats why I post them if I see one for sale - I was lucky because the chap I bought her off had another two which were pretty sound and I think he only parted with "jessica" to release funds to restore them- I am looking for a donor car but it would probably be a bad idea because if I did get one I'd want to save it! Regards

Hello Jason, thanks for the help it worked fine so Ive posted some photo's which will answer your question. I bought her exactly 1 year and 11 months ago today and thanks to the previous owners high standard of care and maintenance she purred the 307 miles home without a problem, I'm trying to follow on from him but he's a hard act to follow! Is a nice car you have there!! For some reason I was expecting all over black with excessive gold pinstriping! Can't think why!
