Hi all, my series V is running very rich, the plugs are sooty & black, does anyone know if the jets etc are available for the Solex B32 PAIAs carb? Or if a modern equivalent carb is available? If so which, numbers etc?
Thanks in anticipation, Tone.

If you opt for another carburettor than without any doubt the so called Webcon conversion is the route to go. This conversion consists of a Weber 32/36 DGV 5A, a special manifold for this engines, a plenum, a K&N airfilter, petrol filter and connection between gaspedal and carburettor.
But before going to do that that I should first investigate what causes the rich running and certainly a clogged air filter could be one of the possible causes of running rich.

Regards,

Peter

have you tried to remove your air filter and run without it?
