ome of the labelling I put on the wiring loom has not lasted too well and I could do with some help identifying what goes where.

I think I have sussed most of it from the position but confirmation would be good.

So if anyone can have a look around their engine bay and give me some clue as to the wire colours going to various components it would be most appreciated!

I should point out that I do have the workshop manual wiring diagrams but they are not the easiest to follow!

Thanks.

I only have one clear picture that might help you,
it's something to do with the starter, but don't think it's what you call the starter solenoid...
Could check on other cars for what goes were, but would take at least a week... (before I see them again)
Don't think it matters which wire goes where with the brake switch, it just has to make contact doesn't matter which way... (know what I mean)

Cheers Jon, here goes then;

Main (thick) loom

Group 1

2 x heavy brown cables & 1 x white with red stripe

All starter solenoid but not sure what goes where!

Group 2

2 x white with black stripes + 1 x white with green stripe

Ignition coil but again not sure on placement

Group 3

1 x green (sleeved) - Thermostat
1 x white with brown stripe - Oil temperature
2 x purple with black stripe - Horn

Then on a separate section of loom there is;

2 x green into single connector + 1 x green with purple stripe

These I think are brake switch, does it matter which way round?

And finally;

1 x green + 1 x green with brown stripe

Reverse light wires, attached to gearbox??
