Where is the chassis number on the Fastback? I have painted it away, so can not find it. I think it is on the right side near the front strut.
Could any take a picture so I can se it more exact.

regards Jan

In my car it near the top of front strut, but my painting has hidden it. It would be great if i could get a picture from another car. It would be easier for me to find it.
In Norway this number must be stamped in the chassi on all cars. If not, it is not possible to get license plates.

Cars up to c. 1973 only had it on a plate on the slam panel. The last couple of years of production they did have it stamped around the top of the o/s suspension turret, or poss n/s - I can't remember; but as you can see, most don't have it stamped on the body itself. Cheers. G.
