Only a few days to go to the nearest thing to a national get together at Powderham Castle near Exeter.
I believe we have 12 Rapiers turning up on Saturday & 14 on Sunday.
Weather in the SW has been generally grim last month so assuming it's not cancelled i have gone & bought myself a pair of Wellies today
Weather forcast for the weekend is sunshine & showers.

We came down with an overnight B & B in Dawlish as Linda doesn't do camping.

Sorry we weren't able to meet you all and look at the cars

HI there we are at a camp site 3miles from the show ground, and have been informed the show has been cancelled due to the weather .

So I feel inspired to give a report as to the Powderham weekend so far.

Main words are rain, mud, tractor pulling and no sleep.
A couple of us arrived yesterday in full spirits, which was good because when I arrived around 6, people were already getting stuck in the mud, but at that time there was little rain.
So we set up our tents right next to the entrance as to avoid getting stuck further in to the site.

That's when things turned ugly and the rain arrived, but without any merci and it was still lashing it down when I left the site this morning.

Even land rovers were having to be rescued by the tractors.

So far things have been cancelled as a result and can only hope things dry for tomorrow.

I can now say that Rapierdaves, Mark Readers and my fastbacks all know what its like in the rain.
Still the beer was flowing last night so really enjoyed that with the guys.

Yes, best of luck down there: so weather dependent these events. Good weather when I last went in 2010. Hopefully see you next year in a Rapier, but we also have a National next year in Banbury area. Cheers and await a report on the activities down on the estuary.
